Let’s Walk Children’s Haven was proudly featured by African Women in Digital Health (AWiDH) in recognition of our founder, Dr. Matimba Molly Chilala. Highlighted as a Mentee Spotlight, AWiDH celebrated Let’s Walk’s innovative approach to transforming access to healthcare for children with cerebral palsy. Through remote physiotherapy sessions, gamified exercises, and educational content, our work was recognized as a model of digital health innovation that ensures every child receives the care they deserve. This milestone underscored our commitment to equity, inclusion, and the use of technology to advance pediatric rehabilitation across Africa.
In 2024, Let’s Walk Children’s Haven successfully completed the African Impact Challenge Pre‑Incubation Program, hosted by the African Impact Initiative in partnership with the University of Toronto. This transformative journey focused on business validation, product development, and technical training, giving our team valuable exposure and strengthening our mission. The program not only brought our members closer together but also provided new perspectives on how to scale innovation for pediatric rehabilitation. This milestone marked an important step in aligning our vision with sustainable, community‑driven impact across Africa.
